Romans 8:17, Now if we are children, then we are heirs, heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
You're not just a follower. You're an heir. That means everything God has, everything He's promised, everything He's secured, it's yours. Not because you earned it or deserved it. Because you're His child. Because you share in the inheritance of Christ Himself. But here's the part nobody wants to talk about. That inheritance comes with a cost. Sharing in His glory means sharing in His sufferings. It means the path isn't always easy or comfortable. It means sometimes you have to sacrifice, endure, and trust when everything in you wants to quit. That's not punishment. That's partnership. That's what it looks like to be co-heir with the King. Most people chase comfort. They run from difficulty. But heirs understand something different. The struggle is part of the inheritance. The suffering produces the glory. When you stop running from hard things and start running toward His purpose, that's when you truly step into who you are.
